Keith Knowles

Keith Knowles has been a name etched in the hearts and minds of most every musician and music fan in Central Pennsylvania for over 30 years!! His incredible songwriting and bass guitar playing offer his listeners many genres, most notably — pop, rock, blues, progressive and alternative, and many more. It is his most humble pleasure to introduce his latest and greatest challenge — Keith Knowles and the Curtain Crashers!

Keith has been playing bass, writing songs and singing in such seminal acts as Jack Shift, Shame, When Karma Was King, Peter Errich, and most recently Rooster Stone. He has gained valuable skills over the years in producing, arranging, and writing. For the past several years, he has focused his attention on playing rhythm guitar.

The list of Keith’s biggest musical influences is virtually endless!! However, it is safe to say that Keith’s grandfather tops the list. Joseph Vetere was a very talented and accomplished cellist, a huge reason for his love of music at such a young age. Keith was obsessed with music growing up — constantly listening to the radio and waiting for his favorite songs so he could record them onto a cassette.

Some of the artists that have influenced Keith include The Beatles, David Bowie, Neil Young, Josh Rouse, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Radiohead, Ryan Adams, INXS, Tom Petty, R.E.M. and many more! The thrill of taking something he hears in his head, writing it down, and recording it in a studio is the absolute peak of his creative mountain.

A huge Philadelphia sports fan, Keith also enjoys watching the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and Sixers. He also loves his vinyl and CD collection, which has culminated into an actual Record Store in his house.

Keith would like nothing more than to record his original songs and get them out to the world and to as many people as possible. He is grateful for the opportunity to share the songs he has carefully crafted over the years with a wider audience. He would appreciate you checking out his new EP, Live on the Moon, available now!
